TECH SUPPORT FOR CONFERENCE DELEGATES
1. BEFORE THE CONFERENCE – UPDATE AND TEST ZOOM
Update your Zoom software to the newest version before the conference. Go to and download the latest Zoom software for your computer or mobile device.
If you’re joining Zoom from a Chromebook you have two choices.
1) Go to the Google Play store and install the ; or
2) When you click a Zoom link, a browser window will open. Scroll to the bottom and click “Join from your browser / Web App”. Tip: The Zoom Web App works well for most meetings but may have limited tools compared to the full desktop version.Test your software and internet connection. Visit to join a test meeting. You’ll be alone in the room—perfect for checking your setup. To test your speakers and microphone, click the arrow beside the Mute (microphone) button and select Test Speaker & Microphone, then follow the prompts.
2. HOW TO ATTEND SESSIONS

Click on a session title to open the session information window.
At the top of the session window, you will see a yellow button with a ▶️ icon labelled “Open Zoom”. Click the button to join the session.
THE "OPEN ZOOM" BUTTON WILL NOT APPEAR UNTIL 10 MINUTES BEFORE THE SESSION START TIME. If you don't see the "Open Zoom" button, refresh your browser window.
3. EXPERIENCING SLOW OR UNSTABLE INTERNET?
Try these quick fixes:
Turn off your camera. Two-way video uses the most bandwidth.
Lower video quality. In Zoom settings, disable HD or switch to “Standard Definition.”
Shut down competing devices. Ask others to pause gaming or streaming; even smart vacuums can slow your Wi-Fi.
Move your modem or yourself. Being closer to your router can make a big difference.
Switch Wi-Fi networks. If your router offers both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, try the 5 GHz for speed or 2.4 GHz for range.
Plug in. An ethernet cable provides the most stable connection. You may need a USB or Thunderbolt adapter.
